Things I’ve made

3D sketches

Some things are hard to agree on until everyone can see them. So I sketch them in 3D, and we change the sketch until it’s right.

These aren’t drawn by hand. They’re built in 3D on my computer, where every size and colour is a number, so a change takes minutes.

A family’s wish, made visible

An example wish“Pink and white flowers. A photo of me smiling. Chairs close together, so people talk.”
A 3D sketch of that wish: a room with white drapes and rose swags, a table with a framed photo between two banks of pink and white flowers, and rows of chairs close togetherA made-up example, for illustration only

I made this one for Family Leadership, where families write down what they’d want. A wish like the one above means something different to each person who reads it. A sketch gives the family one picture to agree on.

Change it and see

The same room in three colourways. Tap one.

The room from the front, in ivory and roseFor illustration only

Walk in

Seven seconds, from the back of the room to the table. No sound.

Turn it yourself

Drag to turn the room and pinch to come closer. The buttons recolour it on the spot.

How one is made

  1. 1. Listen, then measure. What the person wants, in their words, and the real size of the space.
  2. 2. Build it from numbers.Every size and colour is a number in one file, so nothing is guessed and a change is quick.
  3. 3. Show it three ways.Pictures, a short walk-through and a model to turn all come from that one file.

The sketches on this page are examples I made up. They show no real family’s wishes, and they are not a list of what any provider supplies.
